- A flat felled seam is the preferred seam in jeans, men's and women's shirts and children's casual garments. The advantage of a flat felled seam is that the seam allowances are encased within the seam
- The groove in the sole of the foot allows it to run and fell an 8mm wide seam easily and precisely
- Foot #71 is well suited for medium to heavy weight fabrics such as denim, wool, corduroy and tapestry
- for light weight fabrics, Foot #70 (4mm Lap Seam Foot) is recommended.
Fits all the old Bernina models from the 530 to the 1630, including the current 1008.
This foot does not fit modern electronic models, Artista, Aurora, Virtuosa & Activa.
